Beef Stew

    ---
     

    25 lb. beef, cubed
    10 whole bay leaves
    18 lb. potatoes
    2 cans whole tomatoes (10 lb.)
    2 lb. onions
    10 lb. carrots
    salt and pepper to taste
    several cloves of garlic, optional
    ---

    Brown beef in flour. Add water, bay leaves, tomatoes and seasonings. Cook
    vegetables, then add potatoes. Two hours before serving, join
    together, remove bay leaves before serving.
