Chester's Chili with Beans

    ---

    20 lb. ground beef
    15 large onions, chopped
    2 c. shortening (for browning beef and onions)
    5 garlic bulbs
    10 Tbsp. salt
    5 Tbsp. paprika
    12 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
    48 c. water
    2 gal. beans (red, kidney or pinto, already cooked or canned)
    1 can cumin seed (to taste- start with 1 Tbsp.)
    4 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. red pepper
    ---
    Brown ground beef in batches, sauté onions.
    Drain beef and onions, combine all ingredients and
    cook slowly for 2 to 3 hours.
