lots of pop, juices, and drinks, coffee and tea, we had a bartender.

The dessert table is the wedding cake(s), There were 5 heart
shape cakes,
all different with different fillings, they were decorated
in white
butter icing with real mauve roses and white things.
My
daughter is a baker and she is making her cake and decorating
it.
We will also have platters of fresh fruit by the cake.
Pineapple dip for the fruit

MAJOR TIP: Marlene
made use of freezers for
keeping the things that needed REFRIGERATION,
cool. She unplugged the freezers a day or two ahead of time, had
buckets of ice frozen, a sheet of plywood, cut to fit on top of the ice
filled buckets and then the salads, or whatever on top of the board.
She did this at home and at the reception hall.
And here is how it went!
lets read the follow up e-mail
~
It was a beautiful success. Everything went off almost without
a
hitch. I did manage to pull the Velcro headpiece off and
we had to glue
that back on minutes before the ceremony.
My garden looked beautiful. The sweet peas managed to stay
in bloom,
and I must have a least 500 sunflowers that are over 6' tall
and
blooming, and all my asters and zinnia's in purple
and pink,
I tried to do most purple and pink and white but have a variety
of everything. We have almost 2 acres and
quite a bit was in garden. I made an arbor and garden in
the middle of the lawn for the ceremony.
The ceremony was at 4 pm, I was still at the hall at 3:20
organizing. I
managed to get dressed and be in my seat by 3:55. LOL.
My friend and cousin took pix in the yard, all over the place,
it was
beautiful. My friend and here husband race a jeep on weekends
and had just been competing in our area.
Anyway, they were in our back, back yard in a motor
home with this great big purple race jeep on a trailer ,
which made
some interesting photo shots with a bridal party all over
it.

I set up the appetizer's and the punch. It was announced
at the
ceremony to go to the hall for appetizer's and cocktails.
(tip) We should have been more
specific. People thought that was
their dinner so everything was devoured in minutes. Like
my jelly
balls, people were taking platefuls instead of 2 or 3.
When I got to the hall after pictures, the waitress told
me this, so I
thought I wouldn't have enough food, but I did.
~
(tip) I forgot to decorate the
food platter's. I had all the cherry toms.
and kale and parsley etc. ready to put on and totally slipped
my mind.
I did scatter my garden flowers through out the food table.
The wedding
cakes looked gorgeous, and after they cut the cake, we moved
them to
the dessert table and let everyone choose their own cake,
along with
platters of fruit.
(funny glitch!) I made a pineapple
fruit cream to dip the fruit in,
and I forgot to label it. It was in a beautiful scotch thistle
bowl,
the waitress thought it was whipped butter and put it on
the main
table, so many people put pineapple dip on their buns LOL.
then they
found out and moved it over to the dessert table.

My daughter looked beautiful, and her now husband was very
handsome.
MY son looked great in his tux. Everything went smoothly.
The hit of
the party was the 7 year old ring bearer, who had never been
to a
wedding and performed his duties perfectly and danced up
a storm. He
was so cute.
We finally got everyone home or at our place by 2 am. Got
everyone to
bed somewhere in the house and yard by 5 am. My husband and
I cleaned
up a bit in the house went to sleep from 6-7 am, went and
cleaned the
hall, came home and had coffee, cakes and brunch goodies
for 40
or so people, who came at 11 am for the gift opening. I forgot
to heat
up my mini quiche. They must still be in the freezer. We
had streusel,
muffins, choc. zucchini cake, wedding cake, sticky buns etc.
I
decorated with the white table cloths and the wedding flowers.
This
was outside. The weather was perfect!
---
All in all, it was very nice.
It was a fun wedding, but was over so quickly.
The only thing I would have changed is that I would have
liked to have
had the reception in my yard, not at the hall.
