Butter Pecan Turtle Bars

     Makes 3 doz. great tasting bars.

    2   c.  flour
       1   c.  br. sugar
         1/2  c.  butter
       1  c.  whole pecan pieces
         2/3  c.   butter
         1/2  c.   br. sugar
       1   c.   milk choc. chips
    ---
    Preheat oven to 350 deg.  Mix 2 c. flour, 1 c. br. sugar and 1/2 c. butter together and pack this crust mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.  Sprinkle pecans evenly over top. Cook 2/3 c. butter and 1/2 c. brown sugar over medium heat, STIRRING CONSTANTLY until entire surface starts to boil.  Boil 1 min.  Pour over pecans and the crust.  Bake 18 -22 min, or until caramel is bubbly. Remove from oven and sprinkle with the chocolate chips and allow to melt slightly.  Swirl some chips for a marble effect.  Cool and cut into bars.
