Scrumptious Broccoli Casserole

    ---
     
       1   bunch   broccoli
       1   c.  frozen corn  --see note below
       1      can  cream of celery soup
       2  eggs
         1/2  c.  grated parmesan
                  finely diced onion and gr. pepper to taste
    ---
     TOPPING:
         1/2  c.   butter -- melted
       1   c.  fine -- dry bread crumbs
       1      tsp.  Italian herbs
         1/2  tsp.  garlic powder
         1/2  inch   thick slice dry salami -- diced
    Steam broccoli until tender crisp.  Combine with corn, in greased casserole.  Beat eggs, soup and cheese, stir in onion and gr. pepper (these are optional).  Pour over broccoli and corn. For the topping, melt butter and toss with the remaining ingredients. Sprinkle evenly over dish.  Bake 350 deg. for 1/2 hr. or until bubbly and browned.
    Can be assembled ahead of time,  mix the topping and keep separate, add the
    topping  and salami (or ham) just before baking.
    Tried and true!
    Dayle's note: I used cream of mushroom soup added a pinch of oregano and added steamed sliced carrots and a bit of chopped onion.. I left off the topping,
    and it was delicious.  This is very versatile.
