~ Mission Creek - a linear Park On a hot summer day you can take a soothing walk along swift flowing Mission Creek as it winds it's way though farm lands in the city of Kelowna. This forested creek is such a peaceful treat to have in a city. If you are at the right time of year your can watch the Kokanee Salmon spawning! ~   Cool Canopy of Trees cover the Trail     Look up! Leafy trees almost block out the sun, providing a glorious cool green canopy of shade on a hot summer day. ~   Mission Creek This is a picture of a quiet creek in late summer.  In the Spring there is often warnings to stay well back for the banks as it contains a huge volumne of water during spring run-off, when all the snow is melting high up in the mountain.  Sometimes there is so much water that even Okanagan Lake spills over it's banks! ~ Shhh...
